Starting from an existing footprint of the house which was built in 1947, we expanded back and up to recreate a floor plan which was more livable for modern families and more importantly, for entertaining. This home features multiple levels which flow together yet create meaningful spaces which are uniquely their own. The kitchen overlooks a grand family room with 25-foot tall ceilings and a monolithic fireplace reaching floor to ceiling. Black polished bamboo floors and natural marble tile throughout the house lend to the luxurious feel overall. Whether your gifted with musical talent or just have an extensive playlist, the acoustics in this house are amazing thanks to the open floor plan expanding multiple levels and the ceilings of pine. The first of many for our new-build projects, the Tango House is still one of our favorites.
